I started my career in Real Estate as an investor about 15 years ago -- nothing exciting, just a few single-family homes in South Carolina (where I lived at the time). For about 10 years, I worked in the non-profit world for a few different Children's Homes in the Chicago area, North Carolina, and South Carolina -- as a direct care houseparent (alongside my wife) and program director for youth aging out of the foster care system. As our family grew, we started searching for homes in the Madison area since this area put us near family, and in that process, I got to know Dan Miller with the Mad City Dream Homes Team. Dan took a shot with me joining his team shortly after we moved to Verona by offering me a team admin type of role. In this role, Dan and his team taught me so much: how to show up & work every day, how to build out listings, how to market properties effectively, how to get involved in your community, and most of all, how to treat others and take care of clients. I could go on and on about this team and how much they taught me --Thanks, Dan & Shelley & Chris! I made the difficult and scary decision to go out on my own with real estate in 2019, trying to find the right people and situation in this business.
